Dr. Lee is a chairman of Diagnomics Lab, in San Diego, CA. He also serves as the CEO of the Eone Diagnomics Genome Center (KOSDAQ; EDGC) in Incheon South Korea. He is a visiting professor of Institute of Convergence Science & Technology in Incheon National University and a director of NGENI Foundation in California that promotes research in precision medicine and scientific discoveries from genomics and health data. Dr. Lee is a writer of the “Homo Hundred Genome Revolution” and "Homo Intelligence Genome Compass" and published numerous scientific articles. He is a world-renowned scholar, researcher and entrepreneur in Genomics and outstanding leader in healthcare and bio-tech industries and its implementation for personalized medicine and diagnostics development for precision medicine. He has extensive global experience and presence in the life sciences, healthcare and IT business area including bio-tech, pharmaceutical and diagnostics companies with expertise in personal genomics, big-data processing, artificial intelligence (AI), pharmacogenomics, bioinformatics and molecular diagnostics. Prior to his current role and responsibilities, he held several positions at Sequenom in San Diego, CA and Genaissance Pharmaceuticals in New Haven, CT within their diagnostic development and genomics lab operations.
He has been granted many US, Korea and international patents in the area of personalized medicine, genomics and diagnostic development. He conducted his post-doctoral fellowship at the Genomics and Proteomics Center at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and received his Ph.D. degree in Biological Science from City of Hope National Medical Center at the Beckman Research Institute in Duarte, CA. He holds a Master of Biology and certification of BioTechnology from California State University, Los Angeles. He graduated as a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kyung Hee University in Seoul Korea. He also completed an executive MBA program for CEO in Bio-Technology from Seoul National University, Korea.
Dr. Kim has supervised clinical laboratory operations under US CAP / CLIA regulation form over 10 years. He is well versed in molecular diagnostics, functional genomics, and molecular medicine. He has been overseeing the R&D laboratory at Diagnomics since, after being the R&D director at our EDGC. Before, he served as the director of the Genomics facility at the Ohio University in Athens, OH. He obtained his PhD in Agricultural Biotechnology at the Seoul National University (SNU) and his postdoctoral training at the Institute of Biological Chemistry at the Washington State University, WA. He published numerous scientific journal articles and is the author of several international patents.
Michael is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic business development for early-stage technology and genomics companies. He has a proven ability to form companies, raise initial investment capital, and establish strategic partnerships for rapid growth.
At DNA SEQ in La Jolla, CA, Michael served as VP of Business Development securing key partnerships, investments, and managing the development of a machine learning algorithm for cancer patient genetics. As a VP of Business Development at Diagnomics in San Diego, CA, he established strategic partnerships, including with Intel Health, and facilitated international expansion.
At the Girvan Institute of Technology in Los Angeles, CA, he recruited and supported early-stage companies towards funding and managed IP transfers. Previously, he held significant roles at StreetDeck, ICC, Flashcom, APC, and IBM, driving strategic growth and partnerships.
Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a major in Marketing from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada. His career highlights his capability to drive strategic initiatives and secure partnerships, contributing to the success of the companies he has worked with.
Dr. Hong Shen is an esteemed Laboratory Director with a diverse and distinguished background in pathology, neuroscience, and clinical research. She holds dual certifications in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from the American Board of Pathology and brings over two decades of experience in medical practice and research. Dr. Shen earned her medical degree from Zhejiang University School of Medicine in China and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Her rigorous academic foundation is complemented by her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and a fellowship in Surgical Pathology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
Dr. Shen has served in pivotal roles across multiple healthcare institutions, including her current position as Laboratory Director at Gastroenterology & Hepatology Specialists in Thousand Oaks, California, and Co-Medical Director at Antelope Valley Hospital. Her expertise extends to precision diagnostics and pathology laboratory operations, where she has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovative problem-solving.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Shen has contributed extensively to academic research, publishing more than 10 peer-reviewed journal articles. Her prior research roles at the University of California-Irvine and her postdoctoral fellowship in neuroscience further highlight her commitment to advancing medical science. With a strong focus on patient-centered care and cutting-edge diagnostics, Dr. Shen continues to lead initiatives that improve healthcare outcomes and drive advancements in pathology and laboratory medicine.
Dr. Kim Charles Seyol is a distinguished global business management expert with extensive experience conducting business across multiple countries including the United States and United Kingdom. Based on diverse global networks, he has successfully identified and developed new business opportunities, leading them to remarkable growth. In Korea, he has spearheaded the investment and public listing of four companies, demonstrating exceptional strategic leadership in capital markets. Currently, he is responsible for global business operations at Diagnomics, driving international expansion and strategic partnerships. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Sogang University
